Neodymium rings are a member of the rare earth metal family and are by far the strongest permanent magnetic magnets in existence. The larger number of magnets in a rare earth ring magnet means that the field generated by these magnets will be stronger, which means that more of the magnetic energy that is put out into the atmosphere is going to stay put.
