Neodymium rings are a member of the rare earth metal family and are by far the strongest permanent magnetic magnets in existence. They’re also known as NdFeB rings, or NdFe magnets, as they’re made mainly of neodymium, iron, and boron. This is because the rare earths used in them are extremely rare, so that even if you could find one, it wouldn’t have more than a hundred and fifty of them on earth, which is about as close to being as rare as you can get. That’s why these rings are so strong, and why they work so well.

- are made up of neodymium, iron, and boron, which are then magnetized with a kind of field generated from a third element that we don’t often think of: cobalt. Cobalt has the power to produce an incredibly powerful magnetic field, but it’s rare, and so the magnetic fields produced by cobalt tend to be weaker. This gives the neodymium and boron elements in a neodymium ring magnet all of the magnetic energy that they need in order to produce the strong magnetic fields that they use. This creates the magnetization that allows them to attract each other magnetically, which is why they hold each other in place. The fact that this keeps them in place over time means that they can have many years together before they separate, and when they do separate, they don’t break apart as much as other types of magnets. The way that this keeps them together means that they can be used in a wide variety of different applications, including for space exploration of outer space.
Some rare earth rings will have a smaller number of magnets in them, which is how they were designed to be stronger. Others will have a larger number of magnets, which is how they were designed to be even stronger. The larger number of magnets in a rare earth ring magnet means that the field generated by these magnets will be stronger, which means that more of the magnetic energy that is put out into the atmosphere is going to stay put. This means that they can generate a magnetic field stronger than even the strongest magnets that you could possibly create, meaning that a ring magnet will give off a very strong magnetic field. that will attract and hold together other magnets and objects magnetically, and make them stick to each other.😊
